The flowmeter bank Atica 6 is a system designed for the deliver of medical gases with dosage units to use in anaesthesia, and delivery a mixture of oxygen and nitrous oxide or of oxygen and air, that come from three independent gas entries.
In accordance to norm, it will allow for the simultaneous functioning of only two gases, one of them will always be oxygen and the other one could be nitrous oxide or air, depending on the selection made with the gas selector knob.
It has an automatic cut-off system in the delivery of nitrouis oxide when there is oxygen failure. It also has an anti-hypoxic system through the automatic regulation of flow of nitrous oxide so the supply of oxygen does not go below 27% ±2%. This anti-hypoxic system will only be effective when delivering the oxygen / nitrous oxide mixture.
One of the main characteristics of Atica 6, is that it has dual tubes for the measurement of the flow of each of the 3 gases. The flow of each gas goes through two rotameters prepared in cascade (one after the other), having each of them different measurement ranges. The first tube is used to measure low flows and with the second one flows up to 10 L/min can be measured. This combination allows to multiply the precision of the measurement and, therefore, the security when doing a mixture with flows inferiors to 1 L/min of each gas.
Technical specifications:
